The Laboratory of Marine Geology and Physical Oceanography (Oceanus-Lab) was established in 1990 within the Department Geology of the University of Patras.

Oceanus-Lab is, at present, by far the largest teaching and research university laboratory in its field in Greece.

Its main goals are the exploration and preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the Greek Seas and the Mediterranean.
